Pedivelle MTB THM Clavicula XC 299g, Cockpit frontale 222g

THM ha ridotto di un sorprendente 1/3 il peso della sua già leggera guarnitura per mountain bike in carbonio, fino a 299 g dichiarati per la nuova Clavicula XC, con un peso dichiarato di soli 299 g utilizzando uno spider integrato a 4 bulloni. Allo stesso tempo, THM ha un nuovo pozzetto frontale integrato in un unico pezzo che sostituirà la barra e l'attacco attuali con soli 222 g di carbonio tedesco. E poiché THM è in realtà una parte di Schmolke in questi giorni, ci sono anche alcuni nuovi manubri TLO per coloro che cercano di perdere peso dai più convenzionali cruscotti per bici da strada e gravel in 2 pezzi...

Dopo alcuni anni sotto la proprietà di 3T, dove hanno contribuito a perfezionare la produzione delle pedivelle Torno, Schmolke ha acquistato THM poco più di due anni fa, un paio di settimane prima che scoppiasse la pandemia. Stefan Schmolke ci dice che è stata una transizione stressante, ma entrambi i marchi ne sono usciti più forti, potendo condividere risorse e know-how poiché non c'era davvero tanta sovrapposizione di prodotti come mi sarei aspettato. Negli ultimi due anni i due si sono sostenuti a vicenda nello sviluppo, spesso con Schmolke che è diventato ultraleggero e THM che è diventato più integrato.

Ma questo nuovo aggiornamento della guarnitura Clavicula XC MTB dimostra che THM è ancora disposto a impazzire con la luce…

Le nuove pedivelle per mountain bike evitano il design modulare dello spider della famosa guarnitura Clavicula M3 MTB e adattano invece il design dello spider da strada integrato Clavicula SE per arrivare a soli 299 g. È più leggera del 31% rispetto alle pedivelle da montagna M3 comparabili da 434 g, e anche qualche grammo più leggera della classica Clavicula da strada, grazie a un braccio in meno.

All'inizio sembrava una scelta strana quella di non optare per una soluzione a montaggio diretto, come è diventata popolare ai tempi delle trasmissioni con corona 1x. Ma in realtà, lo spider in carbonio integrato di THM è più leggero e più rigido di qualsiasi cosa si possa ottenere dagli anelli DM oggi sul mercato, anche con quattro bulloni della corona.
